The exhibition A viewpoint by artist Louis Younho first highlights the mountains surrounding Seoul and shaping South Korea, offering an initial perspective on the city. The concept of a viewpoint can also represent the effort of ascending, aiming for a broader panorama. The climbing gym, which hosts the exhibition, becomes a space where imagery and physical movement interact.

A white fabric, symbolizing a rope suspended atop a mountain, was chosen as the medium, serving both as an artwork and a practical element. In the second part of the exhibition, a five-meter-high drape echoes the ruggedness of mountain landscapes.

Given the temporary nature of the exhibition, we designed a removable setup. The drapes cover the gym’s black walls, providing visitors with a fresh perception of the space and the artworks.
